The Person represents the pinnacle of our work with Spark. We spark lives by building trusting relationships while enhancing strength, purpose, and belonging.
Because we believe in the tenets of population health, we incentivize communities participating in the Spark Performance League. Community teams of elders earn a share of a significant cash Purse, based on their performance.
We don’t just believe that aging is a team support, we build teams. Every year Spark hosts a series of team-based competitions that test participants’ strength, endurance, strategy, and knowledge.
Spark’s Pillars are four books with a unified frame of reference and vocabulary to support older people’s health and independence. The Pillars help people gain mastery over Spark’s developmental approach to aging, health, and wellness.
Enhanced health and wellness rarely happen by accident. Spark emphasizes the value of education, training, and practice as essential elements of successful aging.
In the past “health insurance” only paid for medical services. Now, a new health generation of health insurance products is redefining health and wellness to include much more than just medical care. We call these new products “Passports” because they give us access to additional benefits while also covering the medical services we need.
